Elegant Amulet Purses & Jewelry Using Delica & Seed Beads
Barbara E. Elbe
$11.95 USD

A likely progression from images in earrings, amulet purses allow the imagination to run wild. Barbara has created incredible miniature scenes in beads. This amazing detail is allowed through the use of Delica beads. The purses are done in brick stitch, which makes for a softer, flexible feel (peyote stich can be substituted). Two other weaving techniques are introduced, herringbone and right angle weave done with seed beads. Also included is a section on how to create turn of the century crocheted cord jewelry: necklaces, bracelets and key chains. Though resembling peyote stitch, they are done in a spiraling fashion, far more elegant and extremely flexible
